PRAKASH RAJ WON NATIONAL AWARD FOR HIS ROLE "KANCHIVARAM"

Prakash Raj, the 'Chellam' of Tamil cinema, is on cloud nine. The actor, who won a National Award for his role of Vengadam, a humble silk weaver in Priyadarshan's 'Kanchivaram', has swept aside the likes of Shah Rukh and Aamir Khans in the race.

"When Priyadarshan narrated the story, I was shaken and stirred. My hands were shivering, I was in tears and I simply walked out. After a cup of coffee, I was able to call him and blasted him for keeping the story to himself for 12 years," he says.

Interestingly, the actor did not take any money for the film. "It was a painful role. It was mind blowing professionally as well as personally. I had to unlearn all that I had to learnt as an actor," he says.

On winning the National Award, he says, "all credit should go to Priyadarshan and his team. He was hitherto called as commercial filmmaker. Had he wanted, he could have gone ahead and done some commercial ventures and made enough money. But he had the guts and conviction to do meaningful movie. I dedicate this award to Priyan, our art-director Sabu Cyril and cinematographer Thiru".

Saying that the award has encouraged him to do more realistic movies, Prakash adds: "It is what my production house 'Duet Movies' is striving for. The joy of doing such films is great. I want my contemporaries in the industry to experience it".

Finally the hidden secret has made its way to his lips. The growing curiosity among Abhi-Ash fans about their plan to start a family has received some clarification from the actor.
In a recent interview, Abhishek Bachchan made no bones about the fact that he would love to start his family soon.

Though, how soon remains the unanswered part. It's also learnt that Abhi wants no more than two kids to complete his family. In his words, the mantra of ''hum do hamare do'' will be his guiding light whenever the time for starting the family sets in. He further adds, ''I think part of the reason why you want to get married is that you want to settle down and start a family and have kids. I think two should be good".

Their upcoming film 'Raavana' has already created a huge buzz around it and the audiences are waiting in attention to watch the magic jodi on screen once again.

Buzz is that Bollywood got the whiff of the news during the launch of Arjun Rampal's nightclub in Delhi were many celebs were seen congratulating the couple on their engagement.

murder case on anushka

Anushka, Ravi Teja & Sunil are working for a film that is produced by Suresh productions under the direction of Udayshankar ( Kalisundam Raa).

The shoot is progressing on the banks of Godavari River in East Godavari district. There is a scene where Anushka has to push hero Ravi Teja & Sunil in to the Godavari from the banks of Godavari.

So the director selected two dupes for this purpose, and Anushka pushed these two dupes in to the river. But only Sunil dupe came out and Ravi Teja’s dupe, whose name is Mahendra, was drowned in the Godavari floods and it is believed that he was dead. (The dupe name is Mahendra). The film unit packed up immediately from there. The people who were watching the shoot brought the entire issue in to the notice of 'Purishotham Patnam' police and Police filed murder case on Anushka. This incident took place on 16th March.

Its said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to be there in Dostana but she decided to drop out on her own.When asked she said that it was her decison drop out coz she felt that the film was actually based on the chemistry and the rapport that John and Abhishekh share. Its not about her love story.

She personally felt that if she would be in the film then the entire focus would be on her and Abhishekh and the main story of the film would be sidelined.The viewers wold start expecting a love story between them and the fun space and chemistry between Abhishekh John would be neglected.

She also said that as the movie was supposed to be filmed back then and be her first release after marriage she did not want the viewers to start assuming things.They were seen together in Sarkar Raj but in a serious role but Dostana being a light and funfilled film she did not want to spoil the fun so she decided to walk out.

Day before yesterday she had attended a party in an in famous star hotel near Adayar. Around 12.30am Trisha and her friends decided to leave, meanwhile a woman entered the hall. Unexpectedly Trisha ran into this lady and she (Trisha) apologised as the sign of courtesy. The lady suddenly slapped the actress more than three times and used abusive words. Soon after this incident a big crowd gathered in that place.
To avoid further problems, Trisha's friends helped her to get back home safely.Later on the hotel administration apologized to the actress on behalf of the lady and requested the actress to leave the place due to some security reasons. But Trisha refused to leave and asked the hotel staffs about the details of the lady. After a few minutes, the actress left the hotel in a hurry.
The lady who slapped Trisha was none other than the wife of a powerful police officer. The police officer is known to Trisha as he had already warned her in the past regarding public nuisance.
